I am using KDE 4.10 with Turkish localization.

The translation of Pointer Theme is: İmleç Teması.
But when I write "imleç" on Kickoff, it does not find it. The only way to let it find is using capital "i" which is "İ" in Turkish (not "I". with dot at the top).

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Change locale into Turkish
2. Logoff and Login
3. Search for İmleç and imleç, the former one will be found while the latter will not.
Actual Results:  
It should find since typing to search is not case sensitive.

Expected Results:  
It does not find if you type in small letters instead of capital letters.

Another example is Yer İmleri which means Bookmarks.

You can also create a folder or file in dolphing starting with "İ" and typing to highlight it.

Note that this does not affect other characters in Turkish charset.

I changed the component into general because this is also valid for KRunner or Dolphin.

I checked the code paths in Kickoff and KRunner. Both of them delegate the comparison to the krunner modules, so you would have to be more specific, which krunner modules are affected.

As for Dolphin, please report it separately, if it is still reproducible there.

It is KDE 4.12, but still Kickoff does not display the same results with those two different characters.

However there is another update from upstream (qt): https://bugreports.qt-project.org/browse/QTBUG-31292

The search in Kickoff is the same as in KRunner. Please check which KRunner modules are affected by disabling them (Alt+F2, then click on Configure wrench).

Locations (Device and directory bookmarks) - affected
Locations (File and address opener) - affected
Applications - affected

Dictonary - not affected
Bookmarks - not affected

I am not able to try all as I have all of them installed, but so far those are the ones I have tested.
