The touchpad control module you are using in systemsettings is either from synaptiks[1] or kcm-touchpad[2], and neither of them are developed and tracker here. Please report the issue to the author of that control module. By the way, you don't need to add yourself into the CC list. As the original reporter, you always receive mails.
