Sentry Crash Report:

Description jos poortvliet 2013-02-18 08:57:36 UTC
Title says it all: KMail always opens all previously open mail editors on the desktop and screen I start it on, instead of on the desktops these mails were on when it was closed.

Related problem: open mails for viewing and log out. They will NOT be restored, only edit windows.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. open KMail
2. open some mail editors (with reply)
3. open some mails by double clicking
4. exclude kmail from session management in system settings - startup and shutdown - session management
5. log out
6. log in again
7. start kmail
Actual Results:
all edit windows open on current desktop and screen, viewing windows do not open at all.

Expected Results:
All edit and viewing windows open on the desktop(s) and screen(s) they were on when you logged out.

This bug has only been reported for versions before 4.14, which have been unsupported for at least two years now. Can anyone tell if this bug still present?

If noone confirms this bug for a Framework-based version of kmail2 (version 5.0 or later, as part of KDE Applications 15.12 or later), it gets closed in about three months.

Just as announced in my last comment, I close this bug. If you encounter it again in a recent version (at least 5.0 aka 15.08), please open a new one unless it already exists. Thank you for all your input.
