Description Christoph Lange 2013-02-11 22:36:45 UTC
I frequently work with PDF documents that have embedded files. I know that if I wanted to access these files I could use “File → Embedded Files”. So I find the message bar annoying that informs me about this.

I would like to have an option for configuring whether this message should be displayed by default or not.

Alternatively, or maybe additionally, I'd like the visibility of this message to be remembered per document, across sessions. Okular does a great job at remembering other per-document settings, e.g. which page I was viewing at what zoom level.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. open a PDF document with embedded files

These message boxes can be turned off globally via Settings -> Configure Okular -> General -> Show hints and info messages. It would still be nice to remember the setting per document, though.

The issue is still happens for me:
```
Okular
Version 23.04.2
```
even after turning off notifications via `Settings -> Configure Okular -> General -> Show hints and info messages.`

Should be `Settings -> Configure Okular -> General -> Notify about embedded files, forms, or signatures` - after disabling this, notification about embeded files stopped to pop up.
