i installed build-essential and linux-headers-generic packages and recompiled the driver as per chili555's answer to this post: http://askubuntu.com/questions/229195/wireless-driver-how-to-load-manufacturers-sta-file-ralink-3290 ktorrent is now up and running... i was a bit hasty... ktorrent has resumed crashing... so i followed google01103's advice here: http://forum.kde.org/viewtopic.php?f=235&t=109989 and renamed ~/.kde/share/config/ktorrentrc which reset my ktorrent settings... i was then able to start the torrents one at a time... it did crash on me once but it seems ok for the moment... ill keep my eye on it for a bit... This has nothing to do with your network driver. Disable the zeroconf plugin if you want to get rid of the crashes for now. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 215288 *** |
