Description perezomail 2013-02-08 17:39:21 UTC
After an update of curl I went to play games such as Supertux2 Urban-Terror Nexuiz Zaz did not want to load brought me back to login screen each time. When I set OpenGL as my default I have no issues stated however when I log back in Im back to XRender. Ive Reinstalled the games OpenGL and PyOpenGL deleted xorg.conf and started a new ,Ive done this also through the root and failsafe desktops to no avail. Games such as OpenArena AlienArena Supertuxkart World of Padman work like champs through Xrender however all worked without a hitch with OpenGL. I did once get a message such as the one in bug 300475 but Im unsure how to add to

That means X11 crashed. That means a bug in the server (or rather driver).

You'll likely find a backtrace in /var/log/Xorg.*.log (bigger number menas older log)
Please use that to report a bug against the proper component at https://bugs.freedesktop.org/ *except* you use fglrx or the nvidia blob.
Contact AMD or nvidia in that case.

That (failsafe) will not happen with more recent versions, but suggests that kwin on OpenGL initially re/crashes. You should have access to backtraces in this case.
Please post them here (regardless of the bug described in the subject)
