Can you reproduce the bug or give some details what you did before it crashed? Well it hasn't happened again. I created the image by using the scanner which I then saved as a JPEG and opened up in Krita, where I clicked on the icon for the rectangular selection tool, I selected the desired area and Krita crashed.
