All,

Please create a feature in KDE SC that allows setting the wall paper as an active application. For example running an instance of LibreOffice Calc as the wallpaper or some other application such as Kterm. 

I would like to have this separate from the Plasma layer.

I apologize if this already exists or if I submitted this in the wrong location. This would be similar to active desktop in windows XP.

Hello!

This feature request was filed for KDE Plasma 4, which reached end-of-support status in August 2015. KDE Plasma 5's desktop shell has been almost completely rewritten for better performance and usability, so it is likely that this feature request is already implemented in Plasma 5, or is no longer applicable.
