Description Unknown 2013-01-28 14:01:47 UTC
In my work google calendars I have a three of weekly events that repeat themselves every week. Every week I modify the description of the following week for two of them (typicaly I got the title and speaker of the talks).
Yesterday (Sunday) I paired korganizer (through kontact) with my google cal and almost everything showed up. Everything except this week (now is Monday) recursive events that I modified at the end of last week.

Before posting I've made a couple of tests:
1. create new events on korganizer and gcal. In both cases the other calendar is updated accordingly (although it seems that gcal->korganizer might take longer that korganizer->gcal)
2. update a future occurrence of one of my recursive events in gcal writing something in the description: nothing happened to the corresponding korganizer entry in almost a day.

now I just removed and re-added gcal and all the recursive events whose events have been modified don't show up anymore

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. add google calendar to korganizer

Actual Results:
recursive events do not show up or singularly modified events don't show up, but all the other does. Besides modifying an entry of a repeated events in gcal seems not having any impact of the corresponding one in korganizer

Expected Results:
all the entries should be there and updated if gcal gets updated

Furthermore, on gcal when one entry of a periodic entry is modified it asks if only that entry or all need to be modified. In korganized I didn't find any way to tell it "keep all the other as they are and modify just this one". Modify "Recurrence" mess up the whole list of events and not just the current entry.

I will reassign this to the Google Calendar Akonadi resource.

However, you should note that we don't support the old gcal library any longer. You don't say what KOrganizer version you are using, but if you are using gcal you might be using something very old.

Modern, supported library is libkgapi and NOT gcal.

ups. Sorry. At that point I was using a 4.10 release candidate (4.9.97 or 4.9.98, I don't remember).
Now I'm upgrading to Kubuntu Raring.
In the next days I'll try again with KDE 4.10 stable.

You can modify single instance by right-clicking it and clicking "Dissociate from recurrence".

I believe this could be a problem with non-unique event UID, which KCalCore can't handle yet.

This bug has only been reported for versions older than KDEPIM 4.14 (at most akonadi-1.3). Can anyone tell if this bug still present?

If noone confirms this bug for a recent version of akonadi (part of KDE Applications 15.08 or later), it gets closed in about three months.

Just as announced in my last comment, I close this bug. If you encounter it again in a recent version (at least 5.0 aka 15.08), please open a new one unless it already exists. Thank you for all your input.
