Hi,

I've installed last kmymoney4 released using mac port on my mac (MAC OS X 10.7.5).
Previously I used kmymoney 1.0.5 released with mac port to and so I opened my older .kmy file with the new release.

When I try to edit or to fill category on transaction, sometimes keyboard is not detect and I cant fill the category... And sometimes, it works but kmymoney can also crashed when I tried to simply edit this field...

I can reproduced the issue on kmymoney4 and also on kmymoney4-devel.... But can't know exactly when it will happen...

For information, I've installed OFX plugin to import my transaction.

Reproducible: Sometimes

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Click Ledger on left pan
2. Select an account
3. Edit category of a transaction.
4. Type the beginning of a category
Actual Results:
Keyboard doesnt work (category are not filtered or proposed while I'm typing. But I can select category on drop/down list)
Sometimes when I save the transaction, kmymoney crash.

Expected Results:
- While typing on keyboard, propose related category
- Not crash ;-)

I use this software since a long time (on linux and mac osx) and from my point of view, it is the best. I really would like to use last feature of kmymoney4 such as tag and cvs import. So please, help me !!!! ;-)

Thank you very much.

I see the same sometimes with transactions imported through HBCI/KBanking.

What I usually do is to save the file, restart KMM and then do the editing of all freshly downloaded transactions.

Can you please verify whether this approach works for your case too?

Thanks,
Marko

See also https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=312382 which describes that in case of a locked transaction editor you can just try to edit the date which will re-enable the keyboard in all other edit fields right away.

Hi Marko,

I downgraded my KMM install and I need to re activate KMM4 to test your workaround. And do that with Macport is not really easy...

Thank for your help, I will try my best to test it as soon as possible and Will keep you in touch.

Thank you very much.
