Hello,
On my quad core, akregator is lot of time slow, somtime it use 5% or more of my cpu (very bad for my batterie).

Error 403. You don't have permission to access the requested directory/object.
There is either no index document, it is either read-protected or not readable by the server.

Hi, we need some more information to solve this.
What system/distro are you using?
Do you have the same problems with a newer version? (I have not seen the any slowness)
Do you use interval checking or a specific time for each feed? That is probably why it is using CPU power, because it checks every 30 or so minutes for new articles. As a tip: disable interval checking when on battery or if you want to save power.
You say it is sometimes slow but always reproducible. Which one is it?
Please try and describe 'slow'. Is the interface slow? Is it slow to open/start?

Answering these questions might help us solve the problem. Thank you.

Link fixed.
I'm using linux/gentoo with radeon open source drivers with readon HD 5450.
I have slow since I use it, but I have reported this bug because in previous version I had previously never see akregator use 5% of cpu (I can't reproduce this, append some time).
Yes, custom interval by feed because akregator can't by folder. A good idea will be group similar intervale into QMultiHash<interval,XXX> to do just one call for all timer with same interval.
The problem, I need configure interval to each feeds to save bandwidth. And I can't drop at once time all configured interval.
All the time is few slow (need be more quick). But I have only some time big slow down and 5% of my cpu usage (after day without quit).
General slow is when I select folder or feeds to list the entry (linked with not limited number of entry?) and entry select (time to display html entry into integrated web browser?).
When it's slow with 5% of cpu, all is slow (menu included).

I hope this profiling will help you.

I note particular slow down when I use akregator with 3D effect and video running.
Refreshing Qt widget problem? Using item widget (Item based) instead of Item views (model based) for the tree/entry list?

This bug has only been reported for versions before 4.14, which have been unsupported for at least two years now. Can anyone tell if this bug still present?

If noone confirms this bug for a Framework-based version of akregator (version 5.0 or later, as part of KDE Applications 15.08 or later), it gets closed in about three months.

Just as announced in my last comment, I close this bug. If you encounter it again in a recent version (at least 5.0 aka 15.08), please open a new one unless it already exists. Thank you for all your input.
