Description Mike BRIGHT 2013-01-11 09:54:51 UTC
When the 2nd head comes back after the screensaver has activated the 2nd head has the normal KDE background but none of the widgets/application windows/panel.

The first head displays correctly, and only half the panel is seen.

So it's as if the 2nd head still exists but that the monitor is displaying somewhere outside of the geometry of both heads.

Workaround: switch on and off the second monitor.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Wait for screen blank/screen saver to kick in
2. Hit space bar or move mouse to reactivate the display

Actual Results:

2nd head is "empty" of all apps/panels/widgets

Expected Results:

Expected to see the applications/panel as they were before screen blanking.

Took me a while to find (!!!!) but switching the monitor on and off was sufficient.

Thanks for looking at this.

This is a very old issue, and probably dates back to Fedora 24? or less so I suggest we close this.

Bug was reported against KDE4 and pertains to dualhead (as distinct from multi-monitor), neither of which are officially supported anymore.
