Running K3B 2.0.2 KDE 4.12.1 from Arch Linux packages, I can reproduce this bug. It confused me considerably the first time it happened to me. To elaborate on the above description, my steps to reproduce this bug are: 1. Insert a non-empty DVD-RW into your DVD±RW drive. 2. In K3B, prepare something to burn, ensure your non-empty DVD-RW is selected, and start the burn. It does not matter whether it is an ISO image, a data project, or anything else; as long as it shows the "Found sequential DVD-RW medium in <DRIVE NAME>. Should it be formatted?" dialog box, it will show the bug. 3. Click "Format" on the aforementioned dialog box. 4. When the format completes, it erroneously claims "Erasing failed." and ejects the DVD-RW. As a workaround, close the "Erasing failed." dialog box, reload the DVD, wait for it to detect the now-blank DVD-RW. Since the failure message was incorrect, it will proceed to burn successfully.
