Currently the document switcher only works on the documents in the current split when using splitted editors. It would be good if it instead would support switching splits as well since there is no decent way to do this. This also means supporting switching of the view of the same document by going to a different split which also shows the document.

UI wise this could be tricky, just listing all documents and switching to the first view of each doc is relatively easily done, but supporting to switch between views of the same document can easily make the UI less effective due to to many entries...
