Hello. Muon package manager shows FFMpeg as 6:0.0.4-0Ubuntu2. Sorry - make that 6:0.8.4-0Ubuntu2 Woah, that is quite old, considering that you are using a development snapshot of Ubuntu. Please ask in an Ubuntu forum, how to update FFMPEG to 0.11 or newer, and report back, if this fixes the crash.
