tried to enter

echo -e "\ndeb http://downloads.sourceforge.net/project/ubuntuzilla/mozilla/apt all main" | sudo tee -a /etc/apt/sources.list > /dev/null

in software sources. add button would not respond.

Sorry, but your problem has nothing to to with a terminal emulator. 

Either it is something wrong with your shell foo, or something thing wrong with the whatever "Software center" . 

I'm moving this report to muon, but I'm not sure whether that is the "software center" you are referring to .

Sounds like a bug with software-properties-kde. You might try filing a bug against that at launchpad.com/ubuntu
