If you have disabled the introduction page, akregator show an empty articles list/browser. This is a poor usability choice as it forces you to select some feed before you can do anything productive. It would be better if the last seen feed/article would be selected at start-up and fall back to "All Feeds" (the root element) if no such last selection information is available.
