Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open "Control center"
2. Double click on the icon "Desktop appereance"
3. Look at the error handler KDE


Expected Results:  
Changing the appearance settings of the desktop.

Please be precise. There is "Application Appearance", "Workspace Apearance" and "Desktop Effects", but there is no "Desktop Appearance".  Which one did you meant?  If in doubt, switch the language of systemsettings to English.

That is a little surprising. I thought you meant "Workspace Appearance", since that category contains QML code while others do not (AFAIK).

I fear this is a different, maybe related to some other bug (issue on open, not close)

The backtrace is lacking debugging symbols. As you are able to reproduce at will, please install all debugging symbols and attach a new backtrace.

Please also update to the latest Qt version.
