Description Alex Loes 2012-11-21 15:24:23 UTC
When I attach my CANON EOS400d camera, digikam finds it, a window opens and show icons.
Normally, after a little time, these icons are transformed as thumbnails (previews of the photos).
But since a time (don't know how long), this doesn't work anymore, wherever in other programs (gwenview, dolphin) shows thumbnails.
Even pressing the button View doesn't show a photo.

In digikam <2.0, it always worked.

Thanks for an answer.

Canon camera use PTP driver from GPhoto2. Sound like a dysfunctiopn from this lib. try to update gohoto2 and update digiKam to last 2.9.0...

Thank you. Works perfectly.

Unfortunately, in Kubuntu 12.10, digikam uses a version of photo2,
where this doesn't work. So I had to recompile all packages necessary
by hand.
Who does I contact, so that someone else (i.a. the maintainer of
digikam in ubuntu) creates this package for kubuntu 12.10?

Thanks

You must contact packagers team working on your distro.

Also, if necessary CC Gphoto2 team...
