Description Tianyu Zhu 2012-10-19 17:23:03 UTC
Pressing Alt+F, for example, should bring up the file menu in the plasma menubar widget but it does not.
Plasma menubar responds to every other application properly.
If plasma menubar is disabled, then Okular responds properly to Alt+<Menu>.

I'm using plasma-menubar v0.1.18 from the ubuntu repositories.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Add the plasma menubar widget.
2. Open Okular.
3. Press Alt+F
Actual Results:
The file menu does not show up in plasma menubar

Expected Results:
The file menu should show up in the plasma menubar.

I'm using plasma-menubar v0.1.18 from the ubuntu repositories.

Why is this an okular bug?
Comment 2 Tianyu Zhu 2012-10-19 21:32:04 UTC
This is an okular bug because plasma-menubar works correctly for all other applications I've encountered.

Okular seems to be the only application that breaks the menubar.

sorry but no, if plasma menubar is trying to do smart things with the menubar and it fails, it is plasma menubar problem, not okular one. please go and tell plasma menubar developers about it.

if they investigate the issue and found that changing something in okular might help them, we are open to patches :)
