There are some files that have a little strange name, so when ark tries to open them i get an error. In the link below, there are two pdfs inside with names : _1965___120618.pdf and ____2012-13_120910.pdf When i try to open them or extract them and then open them, the names looks messed up, somrthing like ____1965___120618.pdf and _1965___120618.pdf and i get an error message: Could not open /tmp/_1965___120618.pdf. i am however able to open documents if i use dolphin and browse zip archives like folders. But if i right click on zip file and choose "Open with ark" i get the problem i mentioned. Here is the link: http://www.ntua.gr/announcements/general/uploads/2012-09-10_307216_Paroxi_dorean_sitisis.zip I should also add that if i extract the files, not only i cannot open the pdfs, but i cannot even delete them! It says : The file or folder does not exist. I can only delete it using command line. The archive seems to include files whose names are not encoded in UTF-8, which is expected by KDE as a whole. Right now, there is not much to do other than trying to use a program such as `convmv' to convert the file names after extraction so they can be manipulated in other programs as well. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 240727 *** |
