When opening the file dialog for adding an attachment, that dialog will accept when any file is selected with the left-mouse

I'm not sure I like this.. but I'm not sure really.

I think we should make the user press the [Attach] button.

Using this single click mode makes it harder for me when wanting to do  multi file selection with the mouse.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. open file dialog for adding an attachment
2. click on a filename
3. 
Actual Results:  
file is automatically attached

Expected Results:  
file is not attached until the user presses the [Attach] button

I think disabling single-click attaching makes using the mouse to perform multi file selection easier.

of course, single file attachment is far more common.  So I'm not sure.

move to kdelibs.
I looked at in kdelibs and I can't change it for specific dialogbox.

Sounds like you want to turn off single-click mode. That's in System Settings > Input Devices > Mouse
