I played the demo tune, when it finished it crashed. It then crashes when started after cancelling the amazon setup, or when amazon store is setup it crashes instantly when started.

The crash can be reproduced every time.

Looks like a rogue bookmark, please try erasing the config files in $HOME/.kde/share/config/ (might also be $HOME/.kde4/share/config/

Hi Myriam, thankyou.

I've tried renaming the amarokrc and amarok-appletsrc file which makes no difference, but goes as far as the amazon settings which creates a new amarokrc file.

Renaming the config diectory and loggin out/in recreates it and amarok behaves the same.

Removing the config directory and starting amarok still crashes after setting the amazon store.

In doing so it creates a new config directory..
$ ls config
drkonqirc  kdebugrc  kickoffrc

Could you please test with a new user? Just create a new user, log in and start Amarok. If that works fine something is wrong in your setup.

It was on a fresh install whilst prerelease testing of mageia 3 alpha 2 (I'm part of the QA team). 

A number of people have reported a similar crash.

We have quite a few crash reports that come from Mageia installations, there must be something wrong with the package. Please check with the distribution, as these crashes can't be reproduced with other distributions. Please also see bug 306520
