Many thanks for the detailed log. Could you get one more: Run kdebugdialog and turn on debug for "ktp-auth-handler" then run "/usr/kde4/libexec/ktp-auth-handler --debug --persist" (note, that path may be different, adjust as appropriate) Then disconnect and reconnect. If that fails, please attach any output. aha -- I run the command you suggested and what happened: access to kwallet, allow/deny dialog appears. So it seems that the problem is between keyboard and chair -- I probably somehow disallowed the access to kwallet to ktp-auth-handler and therefore it was not able to retrieve password. It might have been fine to have that information instead of "authorization failed, is your password correct?". Closing as it is not a bug but user problem. It's probably the auth-handler not being started properly.
