BTW: Since all configuration files and KWallet contains the plain value of the password, it has to be the code that retrieves the values from the configuration or KWallet. Otherwise the connect to the LDAP directly after entering the proper values in the dialog box again, could not happen. Still valid ? (In reply to comment #2) > Still valid ? At least I'm experiencing an issue that looks very much like this with KDE 4.11.3. This bug has only been reported for versions before 4.14, which have been unsupported for at least two years now. Can anyone tell if this bug still present? If noone confirms this bug for a Framework-based version of kdepim (version 5.0 or later, as part of KDE Applications 15.08 or later), it gets closed in about three months. I can no longer easily test if the bug is still valid, but please consider keeping it open until someone confirms it to be solved, since it could be hard to track down again for new affected users... Marc, there hasn't been any activity on this bug for almost three years, so it seems that not too many users have this problem. However, I will at least ask a colleague if he's able to test it, to be extra sure. I forgot to report back that my colleague wasn't able to test this bug. Anyway, just as announced in my last comment, I close this bug. If you encounter it again in a recent version (at least 5.0 aka 15.08), please open a new one unless it already exists. Thank you for all your input. |
