I'm using the kubuntu-backports of KDE 4.9 [https://launchpad.net/~kubuntu-ppa/+archive/backports] for Ubuntu 12.04 (precise) amd64 version 4:4.9.1

Choosing 'Leave...' in context menu or laucher does *not* display a shutdown/logout dialog. I encounter this problem only on a machine with two display attached (with 4:4.9.0 I encounter the problem with both my multihead machines).

I think it is a major bug because a normal desktop user can't log out or shutdown the machine (other as with 'shutdown -h now').

Reproducible: Always

I can't reproduce this here at all, using Kubuntu Quantal beta2 with KDE 4.9.1 and a dual-screen setup.
Could you please try with a new user to rule out a configuration problem?

I just upgraded to kubuntu-backports kde 4.9.2. Then I added a new account for testing. The problem is still there no 'shutdown' or 'restart' or 'logout' dialog. In contrast, 'hibernation' and 'lock screen' and 'switch user' are working.

The problem seems not to be associated with multiscreen (in contrast to what I first thought): Even if I disable on screen, can't see the 'shutdown' nor 'restart' nor 'logout' dialog...

Still can't reproduce this here at all, I see the dialog every time, regardless on which monitor I try.

Do you have some window open that could obfuscate the dialog?

Hello,

I recently upgraded to KDE 4.9.3 from the ubuntu ppa. Now the problem is gone! I wonder if my installation was somehow buggy or if 4.9.3 fixed the issue.

Thanks a lot, anyway!
