Attachments: Not all 2970 mails are displayed in the trash messages list

Description Anders Lund 2012-09-17 08:16:01 UTC
Sometimes, after restarting kmail or akonadi, the messages list only shows new mails in one or more folders. Mails arriving after the broken start will then be visible, but to see older mails, I have to restart kmail.

Resource is maildir, and messages are fetched from a pop3 account.

Reproducible: Sometimes

I have the same problem as related in the report. However this is mainly related to the trash folder. As you can see in the attachment I added, I have some 2970 mails in the trash (of which 75 are unread spams), but only a few of them are displayed.

For me this usually happens after moving some messages to a folder that hasn't been opened yet. When entering that folder, only the new moved messages are displayed.

This bug has only been reported for versions before 4.14, which have been unsupported for at least two years now. Can anyone tell if this bug still present?

If noone confirms this bug for a Framework-based version of kmail2 (version 5.0 or later, as part of KDE Applications 15.12 or later), it gets closed in about three months.

Just as announced in my last comment, I close this bug. If you encounter it again in a recent version (at least 5.0 aka 15.08), please open a new one unless it already exists. Thank you for all your input.
