(*** This bug was imported into bugs.kde.org ***)

Package: kdesktop
Version: any (using KDE 2.2.0 )
Severity: normal
Installed from: Mandrake RPMs
Compiler: compiled by KDE (Binary RPM's) Mandrake
OS: Linux
OS/Compiler notes: Mandrake 8.0 with KDE 2.2 upgrade

if you look at the kde text data by starting
xwindows like this "startx >&late" then exit
xwindows and look at the late file you will
notice that the wheel type of mouse is detected at the very end of the kde boot up sequence. Way After the file kcminputrc is
read. So the left handed adjustment is made too early and the right handed default mode prevails.
