The explosion effect is really cute, until you realize that it is exploding popup menus, notifications, the little X buttons in the present windows effect, and the overlay in the QML alt-tab switcher.

The explosion effect should only operate on normal windows, dialog windows, etc and not the psuedo-windows like it currently does.

Just for the info: it's unlikely that this will get implemented. Feel free to work on it yourself, but I would rather drop the effect than extend it.

this bug is still present in KDE 4.10 RC1. (Intel SB, Kubuntu Raring)
at the same time, also this bug https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=267954 is present.

I strongly suggest to remove this fancy effect before final release as it is plain broken and makes the desktop unusable.
