Description Daniel Moyne 2012-09-05 14:26:21 UTC
when for example in a folder I pass with the mouse pointer above an icon it may take some time before there is information showing that mouse pointer has been detected above the icon ; same in the information panel when I have in the main window mp3 files and that I want to play one : sometimes when passing above the arrow icon of the audio player (to click on it to play the file) detection of the presence of the mouse pointer may take some time.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. in my case install mp3 files in a folder
2. move the icon pointer above the icons
3. check wether the presence of th icon has been detected
4. same on the information left panel with the arrow icon of the audio player.
Actual Results:
slowliness in dertection of mouse pointer

Expected Results:
as fast as before

in this bug case I have 2 main folder views (after using the split icon in the menu bar) :
- a view with the mp3 files,
- another view with png files.
not sytematic

Thanks for the bug report! What exactly do you mean with "before there is information showing that mouse pointer has been detected above the icon"?

Moreover, is Dolphin the only application where this problem occurs?

I still don't quite understand the problem. Please reopen and try to provide more information if you still see the problem in KDE 4.10 or later. Thanks.

Closing, no activity & probably fixed.
