Description Gatoso 2012-08-23 01:18:01 UTC
I have a backup file with a lot of bookmarks (I made it in my previous installation of KDE, from Bookmark Editor, it is a file .xml). I have tried put those bookmarks in Konqueror but it does not save them. I mean, I open Bookmark Editor from Konqueror by Bookmarks > Edit Bookmarks... On Bookmark Editor I do clic on File > Open... and then I select the file .xml named above. So then Bookmark Editor shows the bookmarks included in the file but Konqueror does not show these in its Bookmarks menu.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Add some bookmarks in Konqueror. In Konqueror menu: Bookmarks > Add bookmark
2.Open Bookmark Editor. From Konqueror by Bookmarks > Edit Bookmarks...
3.Make a backup of the bookmarks. In Bookmark Editor menu: File > Save As... a .xml file will be created
4.Get a clean KDE configuration. Rename the .kde4 folder in home directory (for example .kde4-backup)
5.Leave the current KDE session.
6.Initiate a new KDE session.
7.Open the backup file named above. Launch Konqueror, open Bookmark Editor and made clic on File > open, pick the file .xml
Actual Results:
Konqueror does not show the bookmarks included in the backup file (.xml)

Expected Results:
Konqueror shows the bookmarks included in the backup file, in its Bookmarks menu (.xml)
