Display after letting Amarok progress to the next track

Incorrect display.

When I first bring up Amarok the applets aren't displayed correctly. Stopping the track or waiting for the next track corrects things.

Display after letting Amarok progress to the next track
Comment 2 Mayank Madan 2012-12-19 11:53:57 UTC
The lyrics are displayed fine here when i bring up lyrics applet. Using v2.6.90-26-gbcdd84c
Comment 3 Mark Fraser 2012-12-19 12:01:43 UTC
It only seems to happen if I start music playing with Amarok without opening the main window and then opening the main window.

Mark, could you eventually test Amarok 2.7 beta?
Comment 5 Mark Fraser 2012-12-23 09:50:47 UTC
Still not displaying correctly in Amarok 2.6.90 and KDE 4.9.90.
Comment 6 Myriam Schweingruber 2012-12-23 13:00:30 UTC
Thank you for the fast feedback.
Comment 7 Nicofo 2013-02-17 16:50:38 UTC
Same problem for me: incorrect display of the lyrics, even with amarok 2.7
And indeed, after display becomes correct after the first track. Strange...
Comment 8 Myriam Schweingruber 2013-11-29 13:21:42 UTC
Still present in 2.8-git

Lyrics bug in Amarok 2.8
Comment 10 Mark Fraser 2013-11-30 16:04:14 UTC
Seems to affect all Amarok applets - they don't display correctly if the main window is opened after play has started. Altering the applet's settings or going to the next track allows that applet to display correctly again.
Comment 11 Geert Janssens 2014-03-27 09:51:07 UTC
I can confirm this with Amarok 2.8.0 on Fedora 20 as well.

I wasn't aware that changing tracks reset the applet layout which is a convenient workaround. I usually open the amarok gui for short moments unless I want to read the lyrics. But since the lyrics applets is too small then I always resorted to removing and readding the applet to fix it. Jumping tracks is much easier.

Fixed nowadays in KF5 versions, e.g. 2.9.82. Closing.
