What about with rekonq 1.0 and latest qt 4.8.x? I'm using ppa:kubuntu/kubuntu-backports and have updated to the latest version on kde files. There are only rekonq 0.9.1 in repository. How to get rekonq 1.0? no idea, sorry. You should ask in kubuntu IRC channel, I guess... QtWebkit crash, probably solved in the 2.2.x series (cannot reproduce here).
