What is expected to happen: 

-To have a working widget. 

What happens instead: 

- Plasma desktop crashes. 


I use KDE 4.9.0 and Qt 4.8.2 from openSuSE packages (K49R Repository). 

I had KDE 4.7.4 from OpenSuse packages and this widget was working flawless, but now after I made the upgrade, suprise! plasma desktop crashes when I try to add this widget to the desktop. ALWAYS. 

Backtrace incomplete or invalid? I don't know and I don't care, If you, or whoever the hell do so, don't provide debug packages for kdeinit4 and the microblog widget, that's not my fault.  It is neither my fault if you have conflicts with the person who develop this widget, or whatever is behind this packaging hole. So if you want to tell how to get that packages or make a useful backtrace for this widget, I will listen...If you don't, simple, I don't care. 

It is not a bug, just a configuration file issue? Well, why the hell plasma desktop have to crash either? As I had these problem too, but at startup, I just erased the config files that belongs to plasma desktop and I had it working again... Why plasma desktop have to crash when it does not like a configuration file?

Definitively this is not a user-oriented desktop (just a kid's game). An average joe user will install windows after the first crash of plasma-desktop and won't install KDE for windows.

Same behaviour for me, with OpenSuSE-rpms updating from 4.8.4 to 4.9.

Same behaviour for me, with kdeplasma-addons-applets-microblog 4.9.1-1 on Chakra Linux (half-rolling upgraded) with KDE SC 4.9.1

Thank you for this crash report and helping to improve our software. Unfortunately we were not able to work on this specific report yet. Nowadays the version this crash was reported against is no longer maintained and this makes it very difficult to work on this report as the source code might have changed and the information in the backtrace is no longer valid. 

Also it is quite likely that this problem got fixed in a later version. Crash reports are very often reported multiple times.

If you are able to reproduce this crash with the latest version of KDE Plasma (4.10.3) please reopen this report and adjust the version information in the dropdown above and please also include a new backtrace as generated by the crash reporting tool. Please also make sure that the steps on how to reproduce the crash are precise and correct. Thank you!
