When viewing the gif animation in the given URL inside WebKitPart (in KHTML, Rekonq and Gwenview it seems to work) the frames are not always in the correct order, sometimes I get frame 6 before frame 5 oder frame 8 before frame 7, but it is never correct.

Cannot reproduce this. reKonq and kwebkitpart share the same rendering engine (QtWebKit) so it would be highly suprising to get a different result while using the two for something like rendering images, whatever type they may be.
