- What I was doing when the application crashed:

I've tried to download model libraries from SweetHome3D project from SourceForge. These are .zip files. The first strange thing was that Konqueror insisted on opening them in embedded Ark window despite the MIME association for zip is set to ask to save. To workaround that problem, I went back, rightclicked the direct download link and chosen to download link target. By that time the Sourceforge 5 second timeout before automatic redirection to download has expired and Konqueror crashed instantly.

- What I was doing when the application crashed:
Just as the reporter, I was downloading an archive from sourceforge. The crash happens with any archive download from sourceforge. You can pick e.g. the latest source code relase of vlc:

The sourceforge page redirects automatically after 5 seconds to the actual file. However, I made a right click on the hyperlink and wanted to save it manually. While the dialog was in the foreground, the counter ran out and the page was redirected to the archive which Konqueror tried to open in an embedded ark instance. In that moment Konqueror crashed.

- Custom settings of the application:
For all archive MIME types, the default action is to open the file embedded in ark (which I do not think is a good setting). However, for triggering the crash, you need this setting.

Bug caused by local event loop in KFileDialogPrivate::getSaveUrl(), allowing the user to interact with the UI, while it is up. Probably should be a modal dialog in this case.

I cannot reproduce the bug any more

note that it is not sure whether it is ude to changes in Konqueror or du to changes on SourceForge site (there is no direct download link at the page, you need to open another page before getting the direct download link)
