New crash information added by DrKonqi
konqueror (4.8.4 (4.8.4)) on KDE Platform 4.8.4 (4.8.4) using Qt 4.8.2
- What I was doing when the application crashed:
exactly the same as described in the initial report (you need to wait until the download finishes, then the crash triggers when the timer reaches zero if the Save as dialogue is displayed)
-- Backtrace (Reduced):

(In reply to comment #1) > Is this reproducible? obviously it is, see above Can you please provide the link to the models ? In the SweetHome3D sourceforge website, http://sourceforge.net/projects/sweethome3d/, I do not see any links to download models. Created attachment 73536 [details] New crash information added by DrKonqi konqueror (4.9.00) on KDE Platform 4.9.00 using Qt 4.8.2 - What I was doing when the application crashed: Just as the reporter, I was downloading an archive from sourceforge. The crash happens with any archive download from sourceforge. You can pick e.g. the latest source code relase of vlc: http://sourceforge.net/projects/vlc/files/2.0.3/vlc-2.0.3.tar.xz/download The sourceforge page redirects automatically after 5 seconds to the actual file. However, I made a right click on the hyperlink and wanted to save it manually. While the dialog was in the foreground, the counter ran out and the page was redirected to the archive which Konqueror tried to open in an embedded ark instance. In that moment Konqueror crashed. - Custom settings of the application: For all archive MIME types, the default action is to open the file embedded in ark (which I do not think is a good setting). However, for triggering the crash, you need this setting. stderr shows: *** glibc detected *** konqueror: double free or corruption (out): 0x00007fffb37f4600 *** ======= Backtrace: ========= /lib64/libc.so.6(+0x79e35)[0x7f79e0934e35] /usr/lib64/qt4/libQtCore.so.4(_ZN14QObjectPrivate14deleteChildrenEv+0x8f)[0x7f79de34bd8f] /usr/lib64/qt4/libQtGui.so.4(_ZN7QWidgetD0Ev+0x29c)[0x7f79dd44a3fc] /usr/lib64/libkparts.so.4(_ZN6KParts4PartD2Ev+0xad)[0x7f79e022ae8d] /usr/lib64/libkhtml.so.5(_ZN9KHTMLPartD0Ev+0x253)[0x7f79cd363333] /usr/lib64/libkdeinit4_konqueror.so(+0x45bc1)[0x7f79e0ca3bc1] /usr/lib64/libkdeinit4_konqueror.so(+0x49fcd)[0x7f79e0ca7fcd] ... -- Backtrace (Reduced): #10 0x00007f79de34bd8f in QObjectPrivate::deleteChildren (this=0x38446f0) at kernel/qobject.cpp:1908 #11 0x00007f79dd44a3fc in QWidget::~QWidget (this=0x4017110, __in_chrg=<optimized out>) at kernel/qwidget.cpp:1677 #12 0x00007f79e022ae8d in KParts::Part::~Part (this=0x35525b0, __vtt_parm=0x7f79cda8ab70, __in_chrg=<optimized out>) at /var/tmp/portage/kde-base/kdelibs-4.9.0/work/kdelibs-4.9.0/kparts/part.cpp:209 #13 0x00007f79cd363333 in KHTMLPart::~KHTMLPart (this=0x35525b0, __in_chrg=<optimized out>, __vtt_parm=<optimized out>) at /var/tmp/portage/kde-base/kdelibs-4.9.0/work/kdelibs-4.9.0/khtml/khtml_part.cpp:580 #14 0x00007f79e0ca3bc1 in KonqView::switchView (this=0x483c780, viewFactory=<optimized out>) at /var/tmp/portage/kde-base/konqueror-4.9.0/work/konqueror-4.9.0/konqueror/src/konqview.cpp:234 Thank you for the feedback. Probably should be a modal dialog in this case. Thank you for the crash report. As it has been a while since this was reported, can you please test and confirm if this issue is still occurring or if this bug report can be marked as resolved. I have set the bug status to "needsinfo" pending your response, please change back to "reported" or "resolved/worksforme" when you respond, thank you. Dear Bug Submitter, This bug has been in NEEDSINFO status with no change for at least 15 days. Please provide the requested information as soon as possible and set the bug status as REPORTED. Due to regular bug tracker maintenance, if the bug is still in NEEDSINFO status with no change in 30 days the bug will be closed as RESOLVED > WORKSFORME due to lack of needed information. For more information about our bug triaging procedures please read the wiki located here: https://community.kde.org/Guidelines_and_HOWTOs/Bug_triaging If you have already provided the requested information, please mark the bug as REPORTED so that the KDE team knows that the bug is ready to be confirmed. Thank you for helping us make KDE software even better for everyone! I cannot reproduce the bug any more note that it is not sure whether it is ude to changes in Konqueror or du to changes on SourceForge site (there is no direct download link at the page, you need to open another page before getting the direct download link) |
