Description SZÉKELYI Szabolcs 2012-08-07 18:26:02 UTC
If the SMTP password is mistyped, it is not asked again after the failure response from the server, the same wrong password is reused again and again. Restarting the mail dispatcher agent doesnt't help either. The only workaround I've found is to delete the password in Kmail.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Type a wrong password when sending a mail via SMTP.
2. Try "Send queued messages" from Kmail.
Actual Results:
The SMTP server is supplied the wrong password again.

Expected Results:
The password should be asked again.

This bug has only been reported for versions older than KDEPIM 4.14 (at most akonadi-1.3). Can anyone tell if this bug still present?

If noone confirms this bug for a recent version of akonadi (part of KDE Applications 15.08 or later), it gets closed in about three months.

Just as announced in my last comment, I close this bug. If you encounter it again in a recent version (at least 5.0 aka 15.08), please open a new one unless it already exists. Thank you for all your input.
