Sentry Crash Report:

Description Christoph Lange 2012-08-02 12:44:04 UTC
Note sure how to reproduce this, but let me report it nevertheless.

Recently Akregator stopped showing updates for at least three of my feeds, whereas the other feeds still received updates. I verified by other means (e.g. using Firefox) that those feeds, for which Akregator didn't show updates, did have updates. Deleting them from Akregator and re-adding them didn't help. Even deleting these feeds' files from ~/.kde4/share/apps/akregator/Archive didn't help. (BTW what kind of a strange format is this *.mk4 thing??)

It did help to flush Konqueror's cache – a workaround that is not quite obvious.

Reproducible: Sometimes

Does the issue always appear with the same feeds ? If yes, which feeds ?

(the mk4 files are using the metakit format)

It appeared with the following two feeds:
1. http://www.heise.de/newsticker/heise-atom.xml (or maybe rather with its RSS variant at http://www.heise.de/newsticker/heise.rdf – sorry, I don't remember exactly, but if you need to know it I can check my old backups)
2. http://www.tagesschau.de/xml/rss2

Still the same problem in version 4.10.2, now experienced with http://www.heise.de/autos/rss/news-atom.xml.

I didn't have Konqueror installed any longer, so I even had to reinstall it for the workaround.

This bug has only been reported for versions before 4.14, which have been unsupported for at least two years now. Can anyone tell if this bug still present?

If noone confirms this bug for a Framework-based version of akregator (version 5.0 or later, as part of KDE Applications 15.08 or later), it gets closed in about three months.
Comment 5 Denis Kurz 2017-01-07 21:51:42 UTC
Just as announced in my last comment, I close this bug. If you encounter it again in a recent version (at least 5.0 aka 15.08), please open a new one unless it already exists. Thank you for all your input.
