Description ΔΔ 2012-07-09 13:49:27 UTC
The contact list lets you start a chat only by double clicking a contact, even when KDE's settings are specified to act by single click. I think the chat list should be improved to respect those settings in favour of consistency.

Reproducible: Always

Expected Results:
The contact list should work the way it is specified in KDE settings.

Discussed before. (inc KDE usability ML)

No it shouldn't. Loading a chat is not the primary action, selecting is. Single click is used to select. The double click is just a handy _additional_ shortcut to right click->start chat.

We even trialled it (I did anyway) for a week to see if it was usable. It was not.

Sorry.

Well, if it is a development choice I guess I have to accept it.
Anyway thanks for the quick response.

Thanks for the suggestion. It's just a topic that's come up before, and sounds sensible at first till you trial it.

Feel free to post more.

Thanks
