Description Belomir 2012-07-03 12:58:02 UTC
When click on popup list it doesn't popup correctly. Very often it appears for a while (less then second, blink) and dissapear. It is not render bug — there;s actually no menu. So I need to click couple of times to get list open. It appears that this is oxygen style problem with effects turned on.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Just turn on effects and animations with oxygen style.
2. Try to open some popup menu or popup listbox in KDE/Qt program with mouse cursor.
Actual Results:
List randomly blinks instead of appearing.

Expected Results:
List normally appears.

kubuntu 12.04 distro
linux kernel 3.4 from kernel-ubuntu (this bug was on distro-default kernel too)
ati radeon 9600 video card with default distro drivers (gallium)
kde 4.9 — distro default

Cannot reproduce.
Can you specify a Qt application in particular ?
Provide some screenshot ? (I know: might be hard).

You confirm you cannot reproduce with any other widget style ? (not sure I got your comment "it appears ..." right).

Not at all. There were lots of profit in learning how to screencast in different ways in linux.

This application is systemsyttings, plasma config section where you can change elemets oblique.

Such the thing is happens in different KDE or even just Qt (I haven't noticed) applications, but not in gtk.
//For gtk I use oxygen-gtk style, so I have to remember what toolkit application I run.

Strange that this doesn't happen with kwin effects turned off.
