terminal does not respond to any commands I put in.  eg  I typed this command this morning and the terminal did nothing  sudo apt-get install -f'

Please distinguish and investigate your problem between terminal emualtor, shell and specific command.

Feel free to reopon and provide more detailed information if you are sure the problem lies within terminal emulator and is konsole specific.
