Description Venky 2012-06-26 15:07:25 UTC
When a gmail user calls ktp user there is one single audible ring but then the audio dies even though the call notification goes on and is visible. The call cannot be completed though.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.ask a gmail user to call
2.there will be a single ring but notification will show that the call is still available to pick
3.pick the call
4. no connection
Comment 1 George Kiagiadakis 2012-06-26 15:10:48 UTC
The audio ring stopping is a limitation of KNotify. The connection shouldn't be affected though...
Comment 2 Venky 2012-08-26 16:58:09 UTC
Still no proper ringing when a Gmail user calls me on ktp
Comment 3 Elias Probst 2012-10-29 16:28:55 UTC
So does anyone know whether this shortcoming of KNotify can be worked around? Play a sound repeatedly instead of only once?
Comment 4 Martin Klapetek 2015-07-31 16:17:34 UTC
This was indeed a limitation of KNotify. I've made sure that KF5 KNotification is able to play a forever looping sound, so once call-ui gets to kf5, this will be fixed.
