Description Iacopo Benesperi 2012-06-25 16:32:43 UTC
I run my KDE with only one activity and with a full-desktop folder view, to reproduce a classic desktop (like Windows' one).

Sometimes, at random, when I switch on my computer instead of having all the icons of the Desktop folder shown, I get a scroll bar on the right side and no icons on the desktop. If I scroll, nothing happens anyway (I mean: the scroll goes down, but no icon appears). To fix this, I have to switch off and on again my computer (restarting kdm or the machine won't work, I have to switsh off and and on again).

I don't know what's causing it, since it really happens randomly, anyway I've included the url to the screenshot so you get an idea of what happens. I've reported it only now (sorry), but this is happening since KDE 4.5 (if I well remember) on both of my PCs.

Reproducible: Sometimes

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Switch on your PC
Actual Results:
A scrollbar on the right is shown, and nothing else

Expected Results:
Desktop folder icons are shown

I'm attaching the screenshot to the bug, so if the imgur link expires you still have it.
