Description Vangelis 2012-06-25 15:08:20 UTC
Some contacts use more than one instant messaging service.

It would be nice to be able to group these contacts as a "single contact" and use the maximum functionality of all of the different services combined for this person.
This would decrease the amount of contacts in the contact list, and make the interaction with your contacts faster and simpler.

For example gmail supports video and audio calls, but MSN does not.
Use gmail to make video calls to this user, but use MSN to chat and skype to send files. It should be possible to be prioritized which service to use for functionality supported by more than one services and use the second/third in order in case one is offline... Maybe a global policy for all and a private one for each contact.

Reproducible: Always

Expected Results:
Try to automatically group contacts with the same e-mail address, and give the ability to the user as well to group contacts as a "single person" on their own.
