Description Jeffrey 2012-06-21 14:33:44 UTC
(Kopete 1.2.3, which isn't listed in the Version section of the KDE Bug page)

Settings menu > Configure > Chat Window > Colors & Fonts > Formatting Overrides

"Do not show user specified..." sections -- who is the user? me, or the contact with whom I am chatting? Is this needed if Rich Text is turned off?

If it's me, can this be re-worded to "Do not show my ___" please?
If the user is who I am chatting with, can it be re-word to "Do not show contact's ___" please?

(How do I override contacts' formatting?)

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Get big, light-grey text
2. Try to override this to be plaintext
3. Find this setting and get confused as to what it is offering
Actual Results:
Checkmarks do nothing to incoming text and my Rich Text is off so it shouldn't do anything to outgoing text.

Expected Results:
Not sure

Thanks for Kopete!

I can confirm that it is still there in version 16.08.2.

You can disable formatting but you cannot disable incomming formatting which is what could be more easily guessed from "Formatting overrides".
