This is an issue with the GStreamer Phonon back-end. In KDE 4.9 KShisen does not use Phonon anymore (or just as a fallback) so the issue should be gone there. For 4.8 you can work around the issue by disabling sound in KShisen (and maybe by using another Phonon back-end, but not sure about that).
