I don't think that this will be too trivial, but I really would appreciate if I could copy a path from one program like krusader to digicam, to wath the fotos there. Usually there are already in the database, but i need too click to often to get to them.

since ppl have their fotos usually under /home/user/fotos this couldn't be too difficult to "translate" the hardpath to the one in the database.
Of course this could be optional - just activated by user who wish to.

Thanks to everybody involved for the time and energy.

Reproducible: Always

I don't understand the real use case of this entry...

Sound like a complicated "workflow"

HI Gilles,
Thanks for answering!
Thats not a complicate workflow at all. I am photographer and hace to handle >2000 filles a week. Why I prefer until now Geeqie (shows no videos) and gwenview (instable, and too many clicks to work with) is, that I can anytime, when I see a good foto take it directly from the path above and copy this path to krusader (for example to copy to a stick or to upload to some could, Facebook etc) or use the pic in another graphicprogram (rawtherapee) within 1second!

Digicam dos not offer the choice to open with any program or any environment, where I wish to have my Foto right now, so having the option, to copy a path quickly, without clicking in the next program thru my entire structure: Fotos -> year -> Month -> Date -> Soooting (for every photo!)
That is (right I have to do it right now) is a "complicated "workflow"".

Thanks for your time, your restless efforts and lots of greetings.

Right click over the photo, you will see a context menu with "Open With...". Choose you preferred application to open images.

In 4.3.0, a new keyboard shortcut have been introduced to load image with default application associate with file type mime. It's configurable in your desktop control panel.
