1. Start Amarok
2. Observe "missing" part of the window
3. Resize window to refresh

Note : The initial size and shape of the omitted area of the window could not be associated to any overlaying window.

Could you please provide a screenshot? Your description is not exactly precise about what is missing. Please also have a look at bug 292895 which might be what you mean.

That's exactly what I meant. Reproducible every time I start up  Amarok. No special steps needed.
