What's the usecase? (esp. notice that kwin does only a pretty "dumb" brighten up, not gamma correction or similar what's the better way for eg. video players) When looking at your compterscreen at night some windows are more intense then others due to the amount of white in between the letters. Also some images are brighter than others. I used to dim windows differently when I was working at night on my two screens. And my eyes did not get tired very quick that way. Some windows do need all the brightness because some programs or websites have a very drak "theme". These didn't need dimming. So it's basicly for reading different sites and programs next to each other on different screens. This feature doesn't require two screens to be effective. |
