Description Christian Griebel 2012-05-24 08:37:40 UTC
Geetings to all,

whenever I configure my kpager desktop switcher and subsequently switch desktops while the "cube" animation is in effect, the former kpager configuration window keeps flashing up during the animation.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. log in to KDE 4.6 (in my case)
2. switch desktops - no problem
3. reconfigure kpager by eg. changing one unimportant item and close the configuration
4. switch desktops using the "cube" animation - the configuration window keeps flashing up (see attachments)
Actual Results:
The configuration window keeps appearing out of the blue and vanishing after the desktop cube switching effect has ended.

Expected Results:
The configuration window should never flash up unless it's called.

Disabling and re-enabling the desktop switching effect has helped in some cases. Other desktop switching effects like slide or fade seem unaffected - when the effect happens, it only happens during "cube" flipping.

Logging out and in also clears the error - until the next reconfiguration of kpager.

As the kpager does not have "Help - About", I cannot provide a version number. Neither zypper nor rpm -qal show anything revealing about kpager's version number.

As far as I know, this is fixed in recent KDE versions, but reassigning to KWin team to be sure.
